Betonica Open Day – POSTPONED

In response to the government advice surrounding the current situation with COVID-19, we have taken the decision to postpone Betonica’s Open Day on Sunday 5th April.

At this point we cannot confirm when the new date but will keep you informed.

We hope you are all keeping well in these challenging times.

Should you need herbal support the Betonica Herbal Medicine Clinic is continuing to run via phone and Skype consultations. Details can be found on the Betonica website.

This year’s Open Day will be held on Sunday 5th April 2020 from 10am – 2pm.

Our Open Days are very friendly and informal. They provide an excellent way for those interested in studying at Betonica to find out what we offer, view our facilities and meet our staff and students.

The morning session consists of an introductory talk about Betonica, a time for questions, a tour of one of our teaching venues in the heart of Wellington where you will get to meet our staff and current students, and experience how Betonica’s monthly seminars run.

We will then make our way to another Betonica teaching venue just outside of Wellington. Elder Farm is a small, off-grid five and a half acre organic medicinal herb farm in Devon which is part of the Ecological Land Co-operative’s first site in the UK. Elder Farm is run by Helen (Betonica founder and director) and Stuart Kearney, who have a background in permaculture, cooperatives, organic growing, and outdoor education.

Helen will be giving you a guided tour around the farm and her herbal medicine dispensary. You’ll have plenty of chances to ask questions and find out more about the routes to becoming a medical herbalist.

Please email if you would like to attend the Open Day and find out more information.

A Day in the Life of a Betonica Student – Maria
