Betonica CPD Seminar – Jo Farren – Pregnancy, Breastfeeding & Childbirth – Sunday 8th December 2019

Betonica is excited to be hosting a CPD seminar with herbalist Jo Farren – Women’s Health Matters – on Sunday 8th December 2019. The event is open to all qualified herbalist practitioners and herbalist students and will be held at the Betonica Community Clinic at 25 Gold Street, Tiverton, Devon EX16 6QB.

Over the past decade Jo has developed a specialism working with women and children; with a particular interest in fertility, pregnancy, birth and the post-natal care. She is dedicated to helping improve health and wellbeing, inspire confidence and foster empowerment. In her practise she uses western herbal medicine, nutrition, supplements, diet and lifestyle coaching to achieve the end result.

ABOUT JO FARREN

My qualification is a Bachelor of Science degree in Herbal Medicine, a four-year course at University providing an in depth knowledge of health, professional diagnostic training and a wealth of medical knowledge. I have been trained extensively in all aspects of nutrition, lifestyle and the prescription of herbal medicine.

I use western herbal medicine as opposed to Chinese herbal medicine which means no animal products. I am a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, which is the oldest professional body for Herbalists in the UK.

As well as being a Medical Herbalist I am also an Indian Head Massage Therapist and have an internationally recognised qualification (VTCT) – this treatment is a wonderfully relaxing massage concentrating on the shoulders, arms, neck, head and face. It is excellent for increasing mobility and flexibility in the upper body as well as for general relaxation.
